Role We are seeking a creative and energetic Purchasing Coordinator to join our luxury alpine resort. Under the direct supervision of Assistant Director of Finance, the Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the receiving function of food, beverage and all supply items which are delivered to the hotel, ensuring that all goods have been property ordered and meet the prescribed quantity specifications set by the user departments and that all records are in compliance of internal control systems and in accordance to established hotel's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • To maintain an adequate inventory level so that the products are not out of stock among the deliveries.
  • Ensure there are no excessive orders to minimize investment in inventory.
  • To keep accurate records of all transactions in the inventory items. Ensure that all incoming stock through purchases are properly added into the inventory and any outgoing stocks issued to departments are deducted from the inventory.
  • Ensure that all the issuing of store items are supported by a requisition form from the user’s department. Update all store issues in the system accordingly.
  • Arrange and number all items in the storeroom clearly and in a neat manner.
  • Understand and have knowledge of the storeroom products so that it is possible to determine each product’s stock level.
  • Ensure that the storeroom areas are always maintained in a clean and hygienic state.
  • Conduct monthly inventory count of the storeroom items and provide the monthly count information to Cost Control section for reconciliation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year work experience in similar position.
  • Computer knowledge
  • Able to follow procedures and ensure compliance
  • Interpersonal communication and a Team Player
  • Strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation
  • Honest with a strong sense of discipline.
  • Organized and neat.
