Where you come in

As the Senior Manager/Head of Artist Marketing, you will work alongside a dynamic team focused on driving impactful artist partnerships to ensure that artists recognize Beatport as a vital counterpart for artist development. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the artist community, educating them about Beatport's best practices, resources, and tools. This role requires a strategic thinker passionate about music to drive change and improve artists' opportunities to succeed on The Beatport Group's platforms. The successful applicant will be able to identify and build highly effective relationships with artists, expand our brand messaging, and strengthen the adoption of Beatport Group products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute both local and international initiatives. This role will be based at our office in Farringdon, London with hybrid working flexibility.

As Head/Senior Manager, Artist Marketing you will be responsible for

Artist Relations and Partner Management

  • Building and fostering relationships with artists while supporting and educating them about Beatport's tools and resources.
  • Working closely with global and regional marketing and product teams to align on key marketing campaigns, product launches, and events.
  • Attending industry events, artist shows, and management meetings to expand our artist network and elevate the Beatport Group's brand and products.
  • Working closely with the Label and Curation team to highlight priority releases on our platforms.
  • Collaborating with the Brand, Social and Editorial team to ensure content strategies are successfully implemented in partnership with artists.

Leadership and Team Collaboration

  • Fostering a collaborative and motivational environment to drive team performance and collaboration.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective processes, reporting, and documentation for team operations.
  • Building, evaluating, and communicating team performance and recommendations.

Planning and Execution

  • Developing and implementing artist marketing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Driving growth and engagement of artist campaigns, focusing on social media engagement, web traffic, and subscriptions.
  • Strategizing and executing artist-led marketing initiatives that foster symbiotic relationships with artists.
  • Identifying strategic opportunities to grow Beatport Group's presence in music communities with a focus on EMEA.
  • Advocating for Beatport's interests and initiatives within the artist community. 

Performance Management and Reporting

  • Establishing and implementing KPIs to measure the success of key initiatives and campaigns.
  • Creating and distributing artist marketing reports in collaboration with the business analytics and social teams.
  • Developing and distributing quarterly Artist Marketing performance reports.
  • Analyzing and communicating project performance and recommendations to leadership.

As Head/Senior Manager, Artist Marketing you will require

Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years in the music and entertainment industry, with a strong focus on artist marketing, creator relations, and artist campaigns in electronic music.
  • A proven track record of successfully collaborating with high-profile and emerging artists.
  • At least 2 years of management experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop and guide a team.
  • Experience managing complex, collaborative projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in multicultural environments and with multifaceted brands.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with artists, managers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of the music industry, including current and future trends.
  • Strong understanding of the music industry and an excellent network of label, manager, and artist contacts.
  • Attention to detail and organization, strong work ethic, and a friendly attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve.

Compensation

£50k - 60k per annum (depending on experience) + bonus programme
