( This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance. )

You will be responsible for

  • acting as on-site floor manager to oversee the performance of third-party service providers and the on-site event logistics and operation so as to ensure exceptional customer service delivered;
  • communicating and collaborating with F&B counterparts, vendors and/ or suppliers and concerned departments in M+ and WKCDA in a professional manner and ensure the successful running of events;
  • monitoring the performance of all M+ service providers and revert comments to maintain service standards;
  • ensuring all acts in back-of-house and front-of-house (event-related) are in full compliance with rules and regulation and laws;
  • liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders throughout the entire event co-ordination process and ensure good quality delivery of events;
  • preparing all necessary event co-ordination related documents and all event materials required to support M+ programs and hirer events;
  • conducting stock-take on regular basis; purchase and ensure the operating equipment and supplies are well maintained at an adequate level for event services and align with guests’ needs;
  • maintaining good awareness of all museum programs and communicating effectively with different stakeholders including internal departments; and
  • performing any other duties as may directed by the supervisor when necessary.

You should

  • possess a recognised diploma/ degree in event operation/ management, hospitality management or related discipline;
  • possess 6-year relevant experience in event co-ordination & operation;
  • be a self-motivator who aims to drive things forward and demonstrate high level of ownership and accountability to assigned tasks;
  • have a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal, organization skills and be attentive to details;
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua; and
  • work on shift duty with flexible schedule including overnight shift, weekends, evenings, and holidays if necessary.
