Retail Designer
M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Located in Hong Kong’s WestK, we are one of the leading museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world. The museum reflects our unique time and place, building on Hong Kong’s historic balance of the local and the international to define a distinctive and innovative voice for Asia’s twenty-first century.
You will be responsible for
- performing product planning, research, market analysis and generating new product concepts; ensuring all product designs align with brand standards and market trends; and complying with relevant standards and regulations, as well as sustainability practices;
- supporting marketing activities by providing effective digital and graphics design to support cultural retail and commercial activities throughout the museum, including but not limited to advertising, marketing, in-store POP and social media content;
- designing presentation decks and website structure, creating layouts, banners/headers, editing videos, incorporating functionalities and features into websites;
- understanding and implementing the brand identity guideline of M+ and ensuring consistent branding and user experience across all materials and platforms;
- collaborating with cross-functional team to ensure designs meet budgets, customer needs and feasibility requirements; and
- managing project timelines, ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within scope.
You should
- possess a recognised university degree in Design or equivalent;
- have at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a cultural/art related organisation;
- demonstrate a strong sense of visual, colour theory and understanding of colour management;
- be creative and enthusiastic about innovation, able to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- be able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and demonstrate excellent project management skills and attention to detail; and
- possess excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
