Purple Brand was founded in 2017 at the intersection of industrial design, streetwear, and luxury fashion. A collective of friends and industry veterans set out to launch a collection of men’s denim and luxury basics. Denim is the anchor of the modern man’s wardrobe; Purple Brand is dedicated to making that anchor more interesting.

We have established a rapidly growing market in Canada and the US over the past 6 years; now have our sights set on global expansion.

We are looking for a Production Merchandiser with strong organizational skills to join our dynamic team in our Vancouver office.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field of study relevant to the position, preferably in fashion or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of merchandising or sourcing experience in the fashion industry.
  • Experience in working directly with vendors.
  • Experience in pre-costing, calculation, and purchase order creation.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain timelines and meet critical deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, initiative, organization, strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of technical fabrics, garment construction, and quality control will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as the project requires.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365.
  • Self-motivated & strong problem-solving skills.
  • Keen interest in fashion, denim, streetwear, and luxury brands.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Following up on the production schedule on a regular basis to ensure on-time delivery with the right quality and quantity.
  • Assisting in generating purchase orders.
  • Coordinating and arranging all materials to make the required orders.
  • Closely monitoring the sampling approval process.
  • Organizing samples in the office and ensuring sample delivery timelines are met.
  • Following up on damage and issues report.
  • Other departmental tasks as assigned.
