Key Responsibilities
Area Sales Execution & Conversion Oversight
- Lead the sales function for an assigned property cluster, defining strategies to drive conversion, revenue growth, and market share
- Develop and execute annual area sales plans, ensuring alignment with overall commercial objectives
- Collaborate with the Global Sales teams to ensure area sales efforts complement global partner strategies
- Focus on developing and converting local accounts, including group, and travel trade partners
- Provide market insights and performance analysis to identify emerging opportunities and competitive dynamics
- Partner with corporate and area Revenue Management and Marketing teams to align pricing, campaigns, and tactical sales initiatives that maximize conversion
Account Management & Business Development
- Oversee area account portfolios, focusing on local travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, and group organizers
- Drive new business acquisition and strengthen relationships with key l partners to expand Aman’s presence
- Ensure groups opportunities are actively developed and converted, maintaining alignment with inventory and pricing strategies
- Collaborate with global Sales and Distribution teams to support execution of global account initiatives within the assigned region
- Conduct regular account performance reviews, adjusting strategies to improve conversion and account penetration
Conversion & Sales Excellence
- Oversee the full sales funnel from lead generation to conversion, ensuring timely and brand aligned responses to all inquiries
- Monitor inquiry response times, proposal quality, and conversion ratios, implementing action plans to close performance gaps
- Champion high-touch sales engagement standards, ensuring every client interaction reflects Aman’s luxury service ethos
- Coordinate with Revenue Management teams to ensure proposals and offers align with yield and profitability goals
- Partner with Marketing and Revenue Management to activate campaigns, tactical promotions, and trade initiatives that drive short-term revenue results
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor area and property-based sales teams, providing guidance, performance coaching, and development opportunities
- Set clear sales and service standards across the area portfolio, ensuring alignment with Aman’s commercial and brand priorities
- Partner with the Global Sales team to ensure consistent training, enablement, and adoption of global sales tools and processes
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and commercial excellence across the regional sales organization
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance
- Collaborate with Marketing, and Revenue Management & Distribution to ensure full alignment of tactical sales efforts and offers
- Work closely with property General Managers to ensure sales strategies and priorities are integrated into area business plans
- Serve as the primary sales liaison within the Area Commercial team, ensuring coordination with other functional leaders on forecasts, targets, and initiatives
- Participate in commercial reviews, contributing sales insights, performance updates, and opportunity analysis
- Ensure compliance with Aman’s sales governance frameworks, CRM discipline, and reporting accuracy
Commercial Oversight & Reporting
- Manage the area sales expense budget and ensure alignment with global objectives
- Review the sales team activities and performance in Salesforce weekly
- Prepare reports for corporate meetings and submit a monthly area sales performance and activity report
- Actively participate in weekly forecast calls and oversee reporting accuracy across the area portfolio
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience in luxury hospitality sales, including at least 5 years in a multi property, regional, or area leadership role. Experience in the area is mandatory.
- Proven success driving conversion, group sales, and partner relationship management across local and regional trade segments
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in sales operations, revenue alignment, and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience managing sales teams and developing talent across multiple locations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent Aman across diverse markets and audiences
- Familiarity with CRM and sales performance platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, , Cvent) and proficiency in sales reporting and forecasting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field; advanced commercial certification preferre
