Role The Store Design & Visual Merchandising Manager plays a key role in shaping the visual identity of Aman Group’s retail spaces. Responsible for both new developments and existing shops, this position combines design expertise with strategic oversight to ensure that every retail environment reflects Aman’s brand values, elevates the customer experience, and delivers visual consistency across all locations. This role oversees the planning, design, and execution of store layouts, visual merchandising strategies, and project management, working closely with internal teams and external partners to bring the brand to life across our physical retail footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Translate Aman’s brand identity into elevated, functional retail environments for new and existing locations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end design and project management of new store openings, remodels, and temporary retail activations.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and consultants to ensure the integrity of all design concepts.
  • Review and approve plans, renderings, finishes, and fixtures in alignment with Aman standards.
  • Create and maintain store design guidelines and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Lead the sourcing and coordination of vendors, operating supplies and equipment , and store setup logistics.
  • Design and implement visual merchandising strategies aligned with seasonal campaigns and commercial goals.
  • Oversee the execution of window displays, product placement, signage, and visual storytelling across all locations.
  • Train and guide in-store Visual Merchandising teams to ensure consistent application of visual standards.
  • Utilize data and sales analytics to refine layouts and displays to optimize store flow and performance.
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Stay current with global design trends and innovation in luxury retail to inspire forward-thinking design solutions.
  • Prepare presentations, project documentation, and design proposals for internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with buying, marketing, and operations teams to support new launches and in-store activations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in visual merchandising, architectural/interior design, or related field.
  • Understanding of luxury retail environments, with hospitality or resort project exposure considered an advantage.
  • Highly organized with a strong ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly convey vision, feedback, and direction.
  • Strong visual eye and creative sensibility with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of Bluebeam Revu desirable.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work across international teams.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
