Where you come in We are seeking a Part Time (2 Days per week) contractor to support the acquisition, development, and management of DJ and producer talent across Beatport. This role will play a key part in artist & creator marketing initiatives, including focusing on the expansion of Beatport’s Ambassador Program.

The contractor will oversee a growing network of international talent and campus representatives, help drive content creation and campaign execution with ambassadors, and work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment and impact. They will also support multiple departments by leveraging the ambassador network to source local talent for events, content, and key insights, helping to strengthen communication and collaboration between Beatport and the wider DJ community in key markets.

You will be required onsite at our office in LA, 2 days per week and will require access to a reliable personal computer and smartphone for daily work-related tasks.

As Creator Marketing (Part-Time Contractor), you will be responsible for:

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Identify and onboard international DJ talent and content creators aligned with Beatport’s brand and strategic goals.
  • Manage and maintain consistent communication with talent and campus reps across regions, ensuring alignment with brand values and priorities.
  • Drive content creation and campaign execution in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Support cross-functional departments by leveraging the ambassador network to source content and cultural insights.
  • Foster clear communication and collaboration between ambassadors and internal stakeholders.

Program Development and Evolution:

  • Continuously monitor, evaluate, and refine the ambassador program based on insights and evolving needs.
  • Track outcomes against key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with brand and community objectives.
  • Assess ambassador performance and identify top talent for participation in key campaigns and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and oversee new and ongoing initiatives—such as the Campus Reps Program—to expand the reach and impact of Beatport’s brands.

Content and Campaign Management:

  • Source and coordinate content, advertisements, and campaign materials in alignment with brand objectives.
  • Partner with marketing teams to contribute fresh ideas and creative assets for ongoing campaigns.
  • Support ambassador promotion and music releases across the Beatport ecosystem, amplifying visibility and engagement.

Administrative and Operational Support:

  • Manage monthly and quarterly recap reports, including updates for leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain and routinely update shared resources, documents, and tracking sheets to ensure team alignment and access to current information.
  • Execute administrative tasks such as handling subscriptions, demo submissions, pitching decks, artist promo requests, reports and contractor invoices.

Cross-Departmental Support:

  • Monitor, refine, and share insights on the ambassador network, along with other talent needs, to support cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on support for creator-led campaigns, projects, and other high-priority initiatives across the organization.
  • Contribute to key interdepartmental efforts by providing guidance and operational support.
  • Work closely with the Artist Marketing team on both day-to-day needs and long-term planning.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to align efforts, streamline workflows, and drive shared organizational goals.

As Creator Marketing (Part-Time Contractor), you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in artist/creator/talent marketing in the music industry.
  • Direct experience working with a vast range of creators across content, digital, brand, and experiential initiatives in music.
  • Have experience managing partnerships from lead to close, including experience with coordinating legal contracts and managing invoices/payments.
  • Have a pulse on music and culture, understanding trends and identifying opportunities for Beatport and artist partners
  • Familiarity with the production of digital marketing assets (static design, motion, video) for social media, email, blog, and product channels.
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and a commitment to process.
  • Confidence in managing multiple concurrent projects and comfort navigating changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience using project management tools (ideally Asana) and cross-functional collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace).
  • A proactive, diplomatic approach to problem-solving, bringing calm, clarity, and structure to complex workflows.
  • A good understanding of the music industry from music creation, marketing, distribution and sales.

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • Proven experience in a project management role, with a strong ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of the music industry landscape, including current trends, artist development, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Bonus if you are a DJ, music producer, label owner, or have product marketing experience in the musical instrument or music software sectors.
  • Established relationships within the music industry and adjacent fields, bringing valuable connections and insights to the role.
