We’re looking for a Global Head of Social Media who can connect music lovers, creators, and communities through smart strategy and standout content. As Global Head of Social Media you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive group-wide social media strategy aligned with overall marketing and business objectives, with tailored approaches for each platform and brand.
- Overseeing social media strategy for all brands within The Beatport Group, ensuring each brand’s distinct voice and goals are represented while maintaining a consistent group identity where needed.
- Designing and driving research initiatives into emerging platforms, shifting audience behaviours, and new social opportunities, translating these into actionable insights for the social team and wider business.
- Establishing and evolving our social measurement framework, ensuring clear, useful, and insightful reporting on social media performance at both brand and group levels.
- Utilising tracking and analytics platforms, including Hootsuite, and other relevant tools, to monitor and analyse social media performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Overseeing all social content briefings, strategy sessions, and creative brainstorms to ensure high-quality, engaging, and effective content across platforms.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations of social media activity, ensuring timely, audience-appropriate content publication and channel management.
- Acting as the internal expert and trendwatcher, keeping teams and stakeholders up to date on social platform changes, content trends, and cultural shifts that could impact strategy or opportunity.
- Leading the team to foster external relationships with influencers, creators, partners, and platforms to help amplify messaging and grow our social footprint.
- Champion community management and UGC curation, ensuring that community voices are respected and the group’s online presence remains vibrant, ethical, and inclusive.
- Being a proactive ambassador for social media within the organisation, regularly reporting on performance, trends, and innovation to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Leading and inspiring a team of social media managers, executives, and community managers, providing vision, guidance, clear career paths, and fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams such as artists, PR, curation, media, events, communities, and labels, to ensure alignment, content synergy, and brand consistency.
As Global Head of Social Media you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience 10+ years experience in social media management with Tier 1 brands, preferably in a leadership role and with agency experience.
- Proven track record of successful social media campaigns, with demonstrable results in driving audience engagement, brand awareness, and business growth.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, tools, and trends, with expertise in tracking and analytics platforms like Hootsuite and others, such as social listening tools. And a hunger to explore emerging channels.
- Expertise in social media analytics, reporting tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprout, native platform insights), and social listening platforms, plus exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
- Strong knowledge of social marketing fundamentals and strategies, including content marketing, audience segmentation, influencer strategy and paid social advertising.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to lead both strategic initiatives and on-the-ground content discussions.
- Excellent direction and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and English writing skills
