Position Overview CHIMI is redefining eyewear with bold designs, clean aesthetics and Scandinavian minimalism. Now, we’re looking for a Head of Design to lead our creative vision into its next evolution.

As the Head of Design, you’ll shape the future CHIMI – from sunglasses and opticals, to accessories and design collaborations. You’ll steer a multidisciplinary design team, push boundaries and ensure everything we create reflects the design, our brand heritage and fashion-conscious spirit our brand is known for.

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the creation and refinement of products from visual direction to launch, ensuring both design aesthetics and functionality align with business objectives and customer needs.

As the Head of Design you are also expected to always stay up to date about the industry and business globally, identify trends and competitors on a global level, making sure our product portfolio is always relevant. You should always seek for new opportunities and innovations.

This role plays a crucial part for Chimi to become a leading Eyewear brand, contributing to take Chimi’s assortment to the next level. Responsibilities

  • Lead CHIMI’s Product and Visual Design Strategy
  • Oversee design across eyewear, accessories, packaging, and campaigns.
  • Drive concept development from idea to product execution, balancing trend forecasting, customer insights, and brand heritage.
  • Project management in collaboration with various stakeholders in the company.
  • Guide and inspire a small team of designers, ensuring creative output across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product/production, marketing, and sales channels to ensure cohesive brand expression.
  • Own and evolve CHIMI’s design systems, processes, and aesthetic guidelines.
  • Seek innovation in material, functionality, and shapes while staying rooted in our premium positioning.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design leadership experience, ideally in fashion, lifestyle, or consumer products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, fashion design, or industrial design.
  • Experience in accessories and/or eyewear design is a plus.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a clear point of view, creative range, and storytelling ability.
  • Proven ability to scale a brand through thoughtful and consistent design.
  • Passion for eyewear, fashion, architecture, or industrial design – aesthetic intuition is essential.
  • Comfortable working at the intersection of creative and commercial – visionary but grounded.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
