Role Description
The Design Intern will work directly with Jawara in the design studio. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide assistance to the head designer, making it an ideal opportunity for students seeking genuine experience in establishing and managing an emerging label.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating, cutting, amending and tracing patterns
- Researching for new collections and upcoming projects
- Assist with the creation of designs for fashion collections, including sketching and creating technical flats.
- Support the sample and product development process, including preparing and organising materials for production.
- Attend fittings and assist with adjustments.
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Basic understanding of pattern-making and product development processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Passion for the fashion industry and an interest in sustainable fashion.
