Role Description
The Press Intern will work directly with Jawara in the studio. The primary responsibility will be actively reaching out to the press, monitoring a documenting media coverage, and support the studio to increase engagement and visibility. As the team is fairly small, this position is ideal for students seeking genuine experience in communication within an emerging label.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate sample trafficking
- Calling back and organising all sample returns and send-outs
- Respond to daily sample requests for editorial and celebrity loans
- Search and scan for press clippings
- Work with the Marketing Manager to build our marketing plans across social media, digital marketing, CRM, media buying and influencer marketing.
- Respond to daily sample requests for editorial and celebrity loans
- Asssist in creating marketing materials such as social media advertisements, customer newsletters, videos, blog posts, and marketing copy.
- Assist in drafting and editing press releases, media alerts, and other public relations
- Conduct research on media outlets and journalists to identify potential media opportunities
- Assist in organizing and coordinating events and presentations
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on media activity
- Assist in managing and updating social media channels
- Support the marketing and communications team with other tasks as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
