Learning Hub Operations Officer
M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Located in Hong Kong’s WestK, we are one of the leading museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world. The museum reflects our unique time and place, building on Hong Kong’s historic balance of the local and the international to define a distinctive and innovative voice for Asia’s twenty-first century.
(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with the possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.)
You are responsible for
- providing logistic and administrative support to ensure the smooth daily operation of Learning Hub and other learning spaces in terms of venue booking and programme registration;
- working as Duty Officer and be in charge of day-to-day operation;
- handling and maintaining the storage in an organized manner;
- arranging roster and overseeing the performance of frontline staff;
- facilitating the communication between frontline staff and programme facilitators;
- coordinating with internal teams including Security, Visitor Service, Facility Management, Event Management and to attend operation meetings; and
- performing duties assigned by supervisor.
You should
- possess a recognised university degree, preferably in Arts Administration, Cultural Management, Hospitality or equivalent;
- have 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in venue operation preferably in an art and cultural institution;
- be highly-organised, detail-oriented, patient and good at problem-solving;
- be able to work independently and cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environment;
- have good oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese;
- be required to work on shift according to the duty roster assigned including weekends and public holidays; and
- be proficient in MS Office and Chinese Word processing.
