This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.

You will be responsible for

  • providing operational and administrative supports to the museum merchandising team;
  • preparing regular weekly reports and statistic for management review; and
  • maintaining system database, vendor accounts, item master; and filing system of retail and merchandising related agreement;
  • assisting in sourcing and product development, manage core ranges of quality merchandise that are aligned with the collections, brand and activities of M+;
  • assisting the new exhibitions pop-up and satellite shops opening and other activities within agreed deadlines; and
  • Liaise with vendors to manage purchase orders, verify invoices, track shipments, coordinate merchandise samples, and maintain accurate product information and system updates; also responsible for following up on stock requests and payment processing.
  • performing any other duties from time to time assigned by the Authority

You should

  • possess a recognised university degree in any disciplines;
  • have at least 3 years of relevant experience with renowned multinational retailers with the specialisation in either stationary, homewares, gift and premium products;
  • demonstrate high level of accuracy, attentive to details, strong numerical sense;
  • possess experience in a substantial buying function within a multi-brand environment, managing a diverse and extensive supplier base.
  • be a good team player, well-organised, creative, flexible and able to work under high pressure;
  • possess good communication skills, proficient in both written and oral English and Chinese; and
  • proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including data analysis, vlookup,, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
