Moving Image Service Assistant

M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Located in Hong Kong’s WestK, we are one of the leading museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world. The museum reflects our unique time and place, building on Hong Kong’s historic balance of the local and the international to define a distinctive and innovative voice for Asia’s twenty-first century.

This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.

You will be responsible for • performing customer services duties at moving image centre or other locations as assigned by supervisors when necessary; • supporting crowd management, facilitating guests the understanding of house rules and handling customer inquiries and complaints; • reporting incidents and liaising relevant parties to resolve the incidents appropriately; • following institutional uniform, health and safety guidelines; • performing other ad hoc duties as and when required. You should • possess higher diploma or above in any disciplines; • fresh graduates and current students would be considered; • have experience in operations or customer-facing or event support experience; • possess approachable personality with positive attitude; a good team player and be adaptive to dynamic environment; • be proactive and have good interpersonal skills; • have good oral and written communication skills in English and/or Chinese and/or Putonghua; proficiency in other languages is an advantage; • be able to work on shifts including weekends, holidays, evening shift according to a roster that is determined by the Authority and actual work schedule and number of work days per week depend on workload demand; and • be willing to work at different spaces in the museum including outdoor location; prolonged standing and physical lifting may be required
