This position is responsible for proactively soliciting, securing, and managing events—from initial inquiry to successful execution. The Manager is expected to respond to incoming leads while also cultivating new business opportunities through targeted outreach and relationship building. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Event Sales, this role supports the planning and execution of events across PAMM’s full calendar, including both internal museum events and external rentals. The Manager also works closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), and PAMM’s exclusive catering and audiovisual partners to support the strategic positioning and promotion of PAMM as a premier event venue. Requirements Required Degree (if applicable) Bachelor’s Degree/4-Year Degree

Qualifications Minimum 1-3 years’ sales and marketing experience, as related to special events and/or catering. Professional phone and communication skills and a proactive approach to sales are required.

Preferred Qualifications

· Computer literate (MS Word, Excel; Altru preferred).

· Experience working with social and corporate events.

· Social media experience preferred.

· Attention to detail, well organized.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Familiarity with budgeting and planning.

· Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.

· Appreciation of contemporary art a plus.

· Excellent verbal and written skills.

· Bilingual a plus.

· Must possess diplomatic and creative qualities.

Physical Demands

  • Walk, bend, lift (up to 15 pounds) files, office supplies an electronic equipment.

  • Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Ability to hear in normal tones including telephone and face-to-face conversation.

Summary

Essential Functions included, but are not limited to:

  • Executes day-to-day sales activities for PAMM’s facility rental program in alignment with strategic goals set by the Senior Manager.
  • Pursues leads through third-party event software, social media, referrals, cold calls, and existing client relationships.
  • Cultivates a growing network of corporate, social, and nonprofit event planners to expand the client base.
  • Manages lead intake, follow-up, and routing processes to ensure a seamless client experience and optimize conversion.
  • Coordinates and executes rental events, including contract preparation, event logistics, and on-site management with museum support teams.
  • Participates in industry networking groups and events to generate new leads and maintain visibility.
  • Prepares proposals, schedules and conducts site visits, and provides timely follow-up to prospective clients.
  • Drafts contracts and prepares financial and billing documentation for assigned events.
  • Supports the Senior Manager and CFO in developing revenue projections and analyzing sales performance trends.
  • Assists with the execution of marketing and promotional campaigns related to facility rentals.
  • Maintains the PAMM events calendar, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Prepares weekly sales reports and updates for review by the Senior Manager.
  • Manages day-to-day content creation and engagement on PAMM’s events-specific Instagram account.
  • Provides event-day support at major museum events such as the Gala, Corporate Luncheon, PAMM Presents, and other key programming.
  • Other duties as assigned.
