Pitchblend is seeking a strategic, client-savvy, and solutions-driven Account Director to lead breakthrough communications campaigns for our top-tier roster of global brands.

The Role We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Account Director who will serve as the strategic lead across multiple high-profile accounts. You will manage client relationships, lead integrated campaign development, and oversee execution across earned media, brand partnerships, and influencer activations. This role demands a confident communicator with a sharp eye for cultural trends, an appetite for innovation, and a talent for storytelling that drives measurable impact. You’ll serve as the bridge between clients and our internal teams, ensuring flawless execution and bold, creative thinking every step of the way. This role is open to candidates located in the New York City or Los Angeles metro areas. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day client communication, campaign planning, and strategy development across assigned accounts.
  • Serve as a senior client liaison, ensuring consistent alignment with client goals, timelines, and KPIs.
  • Develop and oversee execution of integrated PR, media relations, and brand engagement strategies.
  • Manage internal team workflow and deadlines across multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to team development.
  • Craft compelling media materials, pitch angles, brand messaging, and campaign narratives.
  • Oversee high-impact media outreach, influencer activations, event planning, and partner negotiations.
  • Analyze campaign results and translate insights into actionable reporting and strategic adjustments.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, media shifts, and cultural moments to ensure clients remain relevant and resonant.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, digital, and strategy partners to drive campaign excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in PR, communications, or brand strategy, preferably in an agency environment.
  • Proven experience leading accounts and managing high-level client relationships with finesse and confidence.
  • Deep understanding of media relations, brand partnerships, influencer marketing, and cultural relevance.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple workstreams with ease.
  • A strong writer and communicator with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Collaborative leader with a team-first mindset and a passion for mentorship.
  • Tech-savvy with comfort using tools like Slack, Notion, Monday.com, and project management platforms.
  • Comfortable working remotely and leading dispersed teams across time zones.
  • High attention to detail, ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and ever-evolving environment.
