Operations Coordinator
PURPLE was founded in 2017 at the intersection of industrial design, streetwear, and luxury fashion. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to ensure the flawless execution of our outbound and reverse logistics. In this role, you will be the central point for shipment monitoring, order processing, and financial reconciliation, directly supporting our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in managing relationships with our 3PL partners and internal stakeholders.
Please note: this is a temporary, 6-month contract position.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Shipment & Order Management
- Monitor and track all outbound shipments from 3PL partners to a diverse customer base, including major accounts and boutique retailers.
- Process and fulfill all wholesale orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for both large-scale and boutique partners.
- Manage the end-to-end processing of promotional orders, including generating necessary commercial invoices for international shipments.
- Execute and process intercompany transfer orders.
Reverse Logistics & Returns
- Oversee the complete returns management process, including authorization, receipt, and reconciliation of returned goods.
Reporting & Communication
- Compile, analyze, and distribute weekly outbound shipment reports to key internal supply chain stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary operations contact for the 3PL, addressing issues and ensuring performance standards are met.
Financial Operations
- Manage all operations related to invoicing, including validation, coding, and approval processing.
- Assist in the month-end close process by preparing accurate accruals for operations expenses.
Process Improvement
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes in shipping, documentation, and partner coordination.
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a logistics or operations role that required strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as NetSuite and WMS platforms, is preferable.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, IF) for data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
