Description PURPLE is actively seeking a bright and enthusiastic Account Executive to join its Lifestyle Division in the agency’s Miami office. This role involves working across our high-profile lifestyle clients to implement communications strategies. The Account Executive will be essential in supporting the development and execution of integrated communication campaigns for Hospitality & Lifestyle clients, generating maximum brand exposure through various communication strategies, including traditional and new media, as well as brand partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for managing ongoing communications on behalf of high-profile lifestyle clients and must take the initiative to achieve exceptional results. They should be comfortable engaging with media and clients, well-organized, driven, and creative. Strong written communication skills and a solid understanding of public relations are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the smooth running of day-to-day functions for each account team, providing support as requested.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for creative ideas and publicity strategies that enhance PR campaigns—going beyond the role of the press office.
- Maintain regular day-to-day contact and build close relationships with key press members.
- Generate media placements in appropriate titles.
- Assist with preparation and on-site presence at events.
- Act as a brand champion for your clients and build strong relationships with them.
- Analyze coverage across online, offline, and blogs, leveraging value from all PR activities.
- Conduct research on brands, products, and the industry to support the development of client plans and new business proposals.
- Track and clip all media coverage, sending updates to clients.
- Provide essential administrative support such as call agendas and recaps, monthly reports, and media database updates.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- 2 years of proven experience (full-time or internship) at a mid-sized PR agency within a hospitality or lifestyle environment.
- Familiarity with organizing press reports and press clips.
- Solid understanding of media relations and strategy, with an ongoing interest in the field.
- Effective communicator with a willingness to grow and learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines, with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
- Extremely well-organized, methodical, and efficient, demonstrating strong initiative.
- Strong writing skills.
- Proficiency in computer software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and Cision.
- You are a team player who is hardworking and dedicated.
