Description PURPLE is actively seeking a bright and enthusiastic Account Executive to join its Lifestyle Division in the agency’s New York office. The role involves working with high-profile lifestyle clients to implement communications strategies. The Account Executive will play an essential role in supporting the development and execution of integrated communication campaigns for Hospitality & Lifestyle clients, generating maximum brand exposure through various communication strategies, including traditional and new media and brand partnerships.
The ideal candidate must have a genuine passion for managing ongoing communications on behalf of high-profile lifestyle clients, demonstrating initiative to achieve exceptional results. Comfort in engaging with media and clients, along with being organized, driven, and creative, is essential. Strong written communication skills and a solid understanding of public relations are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the smooth running of the day-to-day functions of each account team, providing support as needed.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for creative ideas and publicity strategies to enhance PR campaigns, extending beyond the role of the press office.
- Maintain regular contact and build close relationships with key press.
- Generate media placements in appropriate titles.
- Assist with preparation and on-site support at events.
- Act as a brand champion for clients, building strong relationships.
- Analyze coverage across online, offline, and blogs, leveraging added value from all PR activity.
- Conduct research on brands, products, and the industry to support client plans and new business proposals.
- Track and clip all media coverage, sending updates to clients.
- Provide essential administrative support, including call agendas and recaps, monthly reports, and media database updates.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- 2 years of proven experience (full-time or internship) at a mid-sized PR agency within a hospitality or lifestyle environment.
- Familiarity with organizing press reports and clips.
- Solid understanding of and ongoing interest in media relations and strategy.
- Effective communicator with a desire to grow and learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines; excellent prioritization and time management skills.
- Extremely well-organized, methodical, and efficient, with strong initiative.
- Strong writing skills.
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and Cision.
