Description Purple has a unique opportunity for a senior-level publicist to join our global PR agency’s New York office, leading luxury VIP and fashion accounts. As a senior lead for the VIP & Influencer Services team, this individual must have a proven track record of developing and executing strategic, integrated media, event, and influencer campaigns while successfully managing and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have agency experience with fashion weeks, event activations, and luxury fashion brands. Strong stylist contacts and personal relationships are essential.

The Account Manager will work closely with the VIP and Fashion teams based in NY and LA. They will support accounts and projects, serving as a trusted strategist and expert voice for clients. This individual will mentor and manage junior team members, leading by example on client management, results, staff development, and strategic brand guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively build and implement strategies for clients.
• Evaluate and understand client business objectives and craft strategies that reflect those objectives.
• Collaborate with different divisions across the agency to ensure clients access the agency's network-wide expertise.
• Manage client benchmarks and deliver strong placements through leadership and guidance.
• Consistently produce high-quality internal and external communications content.
• Motivate team members to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and PR results are delivered, while supporting their growth.
• Collaborate with division heads and project teams to seamlessly integrate cultural programming into project strategies and schedules.
• Work across multiple brands while meeting and maintaining client expectations.
• Execute and analyze reporting using available platforms and tools.
• Maintain strong client relationships with regular updates, ideas, meetings, and results reporting.
• Foster new relationships with VIP stylists, influencers, and KOLs using the Purple showrooms and meeting spaces.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• 4+ years of VIP / Fashion Public Relations experience at a PR agency or brand.
• Knowledge of key stylists, publicists, managers/agents, and influencer contacts on social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok).
• Proven track record of dressing celebrities and a database of top stylists and influencers.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Integrated communications campaign conception beyond traditional media.
• Articulates ideas confidently and succinctly, comfortable with public speaking and presentations.
• Superior media contacts across broadcast, print, and online media.
• Proactive attitude with a team mentality and experience leading a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; foreign language skills are a plus.
• Exceptional problem-resolution skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
• Knowledge of media monitoring and performance platforms (e.g., Launchmetrics, Muck Rack, Influencer Intelligence).
