Description

Main Duties PURPLE is actively seeking a bright and enthusiastic Junior Account Executive to join its Fashion division in the New York office, working with high-profile fashion clients.

The Junior Account Executive will play an essential role in developing and executing integrated communication campaigns for luxury fashion clients, maximizing brand exposure through various communication strategies, including traditional media, new media, and brand partnerships.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for managing communications on behalf of high-profile fashion clients and will use initiative to achieve exceptional results. Impeccable client liaison skills, strong written communication, creativity, organizational expertise, and an established understanding of PR, branding, and marketing are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day client contact and manage updates.
  • Facilitate the smooth operation of each account team, providing support as needed.
  • Assist line managers with PR campaigns for diverse clients from conception to completion.
  • Manage and coordinate fashion samples.
  • Accurately and effectively complete coverage reports.
  • Brainstorm creative ideas and generate publicity strategies to enhance PR campaigns beyond traditional press office roles.
  • Maintain regular contact and build close relationships with key press.
  • Champion your clients' brands and build strong relationships with them.
  • Analyze coverage across online, offline, and blog platforms, leveraging added value from all PR activity.
  • Conduct research on brands, products, and the industry to support client plans and new business proposals.
  • Manage interns to provide additional team support.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, either full-time or through internships at a mid-sized PR agency within a luxury fashion environment.
  • Familiarity with organizing press reports and clips.
  • Solid understanding of and ongoing interest in media relations and strategy.
  • Ability to identify communication opportunities through a proactive approach.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Discreet, professional, and articulate, with outstanding communication skills.
  • Extremely well-organized, methodical, efficient, and proactive.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
