Lifestyle Intern, Fall
PURPLE is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Intern to join our Lifestyle team, working across a portfolio of luxury lifestyle brands within arts & culture, design, travel, real estate, and food and beverage. This role offers insight into influencer relations, media monitoring, event coordination, and brand strategy within the high-end beauty space. You will gain exposure to some of the industry’s most prestigious brands while collaborating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You should be a dedicated, multi-tasked, and proactive candidate who is enthusiastic about hospitality, art, and design, and has an interest in a public relations career.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor all media, print, digital, and social channels for brand coverage and competitor activity.
- Prepare clips of secured client coverage by creating a clean and cohesive image, gathering viewership data, and calculating the estimated value.
- Conduct industry research to identify emerging trends within the travel, restaurant, and design spaces, and create reports summarizing results.
- Provide support on administrative tasks including audits, invitation lists, and updating databases.
- Analyze the influencer landscape to identify targets for ongoing campaigns and events.
- Compile media lists of lifestyle press across digital, print, and broadcast.
- Develop skills to draft pitches and story angles using an effective approach.
- Facilitate the smooth running of the day-to-day function of each account team, providing support as requested and required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective digital communication across email and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Detail-oriented.
- Eagerness and dedication to learn more about the lifestyle industry is essential.
Intern Payment and Working Hours This is an unpaid internship. We will provide experience that meets the criteria for academic credit and will complete any paperwork provided by the student to obtain course credit from an accredited academic institution. You must be able to work in the office a minimum of 15 hours per week.
