Competition Coordinator
Redress is looking for a Competition Coordinator to join its Events/Production team to work on the organisation of the Redress Design Award fashion design competition, to manage the activities related to the competition and all its stakeholder, including but not limited to: applications, fashion show, fashion photoshoot, exhibitions. This position reports to the Events Director. The Competition Coordinator role includes: REDRESS DESIGN AWARD APPLICATIONS MANAGEMENT - Oversee the entire application processing and management of the Redress Design Award applications, including: aligning with the Communication & Education teams to update applications guidelines and FAQ on Redress websites, setting up the online applications system following previous guidelines,responding to inquiries,collecting and tracking the application entries and data. - Lead the internal review of applications - Lead the eligibility verification process for shortlisted applications - Support on preparing judging documents and collecting feedback from judges - Support Communication team on setting up People’s Choice voting platform REDRESS DESIGN AWARD FINALISTS MANAGEMENT - Be in regular contact with all finalists to inform them of the entire process and make sure that shipping and documentation submission deadlines are followed. - Work with Production Assistant on shipping logistics, both local and overseas on a yearly basis - Provide Production/ Events team guidelines and other documents on online storage platforms (production, shipping, dressing notes) - Lead on Finalists and judges travel arrangements to Hong Kong (flights booking, visa applications and transportation) - Oversee the Finalists’ collections management - Support on the organisation of activities related to the finalists (photoshoot, filming…) REDRESS DESIGN AWARD GRAND FINAL WEEK - Support Education team on planning and execution of the educational boot camp for the competition’s Grand Final Week (August - September). - Create and oversee the Finalists full schedule while in Hong Kong and be the main point of contact for the Finalists during their stay. OTHER TASKS - Support on set up of Redress Design Awards exhibitions (2-3 times per year) - Support Events Lead on the management of Production team interns/volunteers - Support on the organisation of other Redress external events if needed (Industry events, Education events, Sort-a-thon, Pop-up stores...) - Support in office and warehouse storage management and logistics related to the Redress Design Award project YOUR PROFILE - Must be eligible to live and work in Hong Kong - University graduate/degree holder and/or work experience related to event management/organisation - Good grasp of the current industry state in regards to sustainability and circularity. - Speaking skills: fluent in both English and Cantonese is a must. Spoken Mandarin is an asset. - Writing skills: good writing skills in English. Written Traditional/Simplified Chinese are assets. - Ability to handle multiple projects and take initiative - Computer skills: GSuite, Microsoft Office, Zoom - Able to thrive in a fast-paced office and events environment - Willing to work flexible hours and accept high workload during high-intensity events periods (Open application period, Grand Final Week) - A passion for environmental causes and a desire to make a difference in Hong Kong and the world by championing sustainability, especially in the fashion world Job type Full time Ideal starting date 1 Nov 2025 (flexible)
