Redress is seeking a motivated senior team member versed in circular and sustainable fashion to guide and oversee our education strategy across our programmes as we enter a new phase of growth. Reporting to the Executive Director and as part of the Redress leadership team, this role suits an energetic person who is thoughtful, resourceful, and passionate about the environment and sustainable fashion.

Principal Responsibilities

Education Strategy

  • Lead on education strategy with a strong advisory and guidance role to the wider Redress team, including the following key responsibilities:
  • Work together with the Executive Director and leadership team to further establish and drive Redress’ overarching educational objectives and messaging.
  • Lead on developing and regularly reviewing Redress’ educational views and positioning within Hong Kong, Asia, and the fashion industry, in the context of the current fashion landscape.
  • Work closely with the Programme Directors to ensure that educational content across their various projects and outputs is relevant, consistent, and aligned.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to embed education into wider Redress activities.
  • Provide specific direction and oversight for educational output such as the online Educational Resources and Circular Design Course.
  • Support the communications team to ensure consistency in educational messaging across videos, websites, and other content produced by Redress, as needed.

Programmes Support Provide strategic and day-to-day support to the Circular Fashion (CF) and Redress Design Award (RDA) programme and education leads to:

  • Set internal and grant-required education targets and deliverables.
  • Regularly review programme outcomes against targets and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular meetings to ensure ongoing alignment between programme activities and Redress’ overarching educational goals and messaging.
  • Support on the educational components of grant application processes.
  • Input on RDA competition content and format, including application andjudging criteria, identifying judges, assessing partnership opportunities.
  • Support on adapting key educational messaging for the various stakeholder groups with which Redress engages.
  • Support on the development of educational content.
  • As needed, support university or other educational partner relationship development.
  • As needed, support with industry and academic engagement such as delivering seminars, panels, interviews, etc.

Other Responsibilities

  • Act as a key spokesperson at external and internal events, media interviews, etc.
  • Ensure that the Redress key statistics sheet is kept up to date and relevant.
  • Manage a part-time Research Associate, and from time to time, one or more interns or skilled volunteers.
  • Occasionally support the wider Redress team at physical events and activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a relevant business or charity role, with established fashion, textile industry, and education institution contacts.
  • Understanding of current issues, trends, and challenges in sustainable/circular fashion.
  • Proven experience in a managerial position with involvement at a strategic programme level
  • Undergraduate university degree (e.g., B.A. or equivalent) in fashion or sustainability-related subjects preferred.
  • Visa to live and work in Hong Kong (please note that candidates without a Hong Kong visa will only be considered under exceptional circumstances).

Required Skills & Desired Profile

  • Fluent English required; knowledge of Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with public speaking experience.
  • Passion for creating positive change through education.
  • Passion for sustainability and fashion.
