In-House Sales Representative
Your tasks Our In-House Sales Representative plays a vital role in managing in-house accounts, finding new business, supporting TASCHEN America Directors, and ensuring efficient execution of sales processes. This individual acts as a bridge between the sales team, customers, and other internal departments, focusing on in-house sales as well as administrative and operational support while enhancing customer satisfaction. The tasks include but are not limited to the below:
- Managing and growing existing in-house account base, with opportunity to travel locally for sales visits as approved by Sales Director
- Researching and creating outreach templates for new business in various categories (specialty, gift, book trade, museums, etc), creating and tracking pipeline of prospects
- Providing support for Sales Director and Executive Director including but not limited to the below;
- Maintaining and regularly updating sales materials including stock lists, order forms, Edelweiss, and catalog PDFs / Dropbox links
- Liaising and providing customer service support to external rep groups
- Keeping TASCHEN branded showrooms updated with new samples, editing regularly to ensure key in-stock titles are being shown
- Assisting in preparing for bi-annual sales conferences and roundtable discussions by researching comparable titles, organizing sales materials, and other responsibilities as coordinated with Sales Director
- Compiling monthly trade newsletters for all clients
- Managing and tracking prospective customers and assisting with new client onboarding to ensure maximum retention
- Assisting with seasonal gift market follow-ups to ensure all orders are being processed and new clients have been onboarded successfully
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in sales support, sales, or customer-facing roles (B2B or B2C)
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiasm for driving consistent change and improvement to achieve company objectives
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing competing priorities
- Excellent organizational skills with a proactive mindset to identify and implement process improvements
This role is ideal for a proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented professional passionate about enabling sales success and fostering positive customer relationships while contributing to the overall goals of the company.
We offer This is a Full Time position, based in our office in Los Angeles. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience ranging from $55,000 to $65,000 excluding bonuses and other benefits. This is a good faith estimate based on the expectations as laid out in the job description. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, life insurance, 401k plan, and yearly performance reviews.
