Senior Designer | Tekla Fabrics — Copenhagen, Denmark

We are seeking a Senior Designer who excels in creating high-quality, meticulously crafted collections to inspire and enrich Tekla’s textile and homeware offerings.

In this role, you will shape the creative direction of our collections, ensuring each piece reflects our brand values. In close collaboration with our Senior Product Manager and Designer, you will be entrusted with conceptualising, crafting, and bringing to life textiles and products that elevate our aesthetic while remaining true to our brand pillars.

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, with a dotted line to the Creative Director, this role will involve leading the creative process and fostering a cohesive approach to craftsmanship that aligns with the brand’s artistic vision.

This is a full-time position based in Copenhagen.

Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to

Lead the end-to-end design process, from concept development to final execution, ensuring alignment with the brand’s values and ethos.
Develop seasonal themes, colour palettes, and design narratives, infusing each collection with a distinct and cohesive story.
Oversee the creation of original textile patterns, prints, and fabric treatments that reflect the brand’s commitment to artistry and quality.
Guide the design and execution of garments and textiles with meticulous attention to fit, function, and premium quality standards.
Drive and unify the overall design language across collections, ensuring cohesion while fostering innovation.
Maintain a focus on textile design, pattern creation, and innovative material exploration as core components of the role.
Partner with Product and Supply Chain teams to resolve design or construction challenges, ensuring excellence in execution.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and productive creative environment.

We'd love to hear from you if you are/have

5+ years of experience in fashion or textile design, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Demonstrated expertise in textile design and pattern creation, with a strong focus on premium or luxury products.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software, and textile design tools.
A keen ability to integrate creativity with commercial understanding, ensuring designs are innovative yet market relevant.
In-depth knowledge of textile construction, garment fabrication, and sustainable design practices.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating concepts and collaborating effectively across teams.
Awareness of cultural trends, art, and design influences, with the ability to translate them into unique, brand-aligned collections.
Proven ability to lead the design process and deliver projects on time while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship.
