Visual Design Student Assistant (6-months FTC)
The Visual Design Assistant will support the conceptualisation and realisation of physical activations, store windows, and brand guidelines, while collaborating across various departments. This role involves coordinating a range of projects and requires strong interpersonal skills.
Reporting to the Visual Design Manager, the role includes ideating and executing the brand’s visual design language across multiple physical touchpoints. It is a hands-on position with opportunities for growth over time.
This is a part-time student worker position for a fixed period of six months, ideally starting in mid-June. The role is estimated at 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility around holidays and exam periods.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to
- Support the ideation and execution of all window designs across Tekla stores
- Implement display concepts, including sourcing materials, installing, adjusting, and maintaining displays across external touchpoints
- Monitor and report on display performance, collaborating with other departments to ensure visual merchandising aligns with brand objectives and identity
- Develop and execute retail tools, including physical props and digital guidelines
- Support short-term brand activations, including marketing events, exhibitions, and pop-ups
- Provide ad hoc physical and administrative support
We'd love to hear from you if you are/have
- Currently pursuing or holding a background in a creative or design-related field, preferably with experience in spatial or interior design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with an eye for detail and design aesthetics
- Confident user of Google Workspace tools
- Basic technical drawing skills and familiarity with relevant tools or software
- Experience in managing and allocating budgets effectively (not essential, but advantageous)
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead timelines and coordinate across teams (not essential, but advantageous)
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An appreciation and understanding for the Tekla brand and product
