With the concept of “clothes as a tool,” Naohiro Fujisaki founded meanswhile in Autumn/Winter of 2014 after years of working at various fashion houses.

Born from the concept of “clothes as not only a garment, but tool of daily wear,” meanswhile abandons all superficiality from its design in pursuit of durable, utilitarian pieces. With strong utilization of high performance materials and emphasis on design-driven details, elements from various fields such as outdoor, military and work wear are re-interpreted and presented through styles suitable for everyday wear.

meanswhile is currently seeking a Part-time Design Assistant to join their team in Tokyo.

Responsibilities

Oversee and expand bulk selling capacities of the brand for all doors outside of Japan.

Requirements

Basic PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel etc.) with knowledge of Adobe Suites (Illustrator and Photoshop)
Business level English and Japanese communication skills

Compensation

Begins at 1100 JPY/hour.

Schedule

2 days a week. Shift based.
